Estimated Watts
When selecting a power inverter from Inverter us, please make sure it has enough power for your appliance. Just add together the watts for each item you may want to run at the same time. Keep in mind to also add about 15% to the total wattage to ensure you will have enough power to meet your needs.

The estimated watts for the appliances below are estimates, please check your manual of the appliance

itself for the actual wattage required.

Please use this easy formula to determine the correct size inverter if you only have Amps:

AMPS x 120 = Watts

Example: 15 Amp Cooling Unit X 120 = 1800 Watts

Aims 5000 Watt Modified Sine Wave Power Inverter

The AIMS 5000 Watt modified sine wave power inverter provides ample power to run all devices continuously which are rated at 5000 watts or less. Simply connect your inverter to a 12V dc battery, such as the one you would find in your car, and you will have instant dc to ac portable power! With a peak of 10,000 watts, the 5,000 watt power inverter will fit many applications. Every inverter offered by InvertersRus come with all the necessary cables, a 1 year warranty and one full year of FREE tech support.

FAQ

How does a power inverter work?
A power inverter converts DC power into conventional AC power allowing you to use your favorite devices when an AC outlet is not available. Simply connect an inverter to a battery source, plug your appliance into the inverter and you're set!

How do I know which inverter to buy?
Different devices require specific wattages to run correctly and efficiently. Please use this easy formula to determine the correct size inverter:

AMPS x 120 = Watts

Example: 15 Amp Cooling Unit X 120 = 1800 Watts

Please refer to our estimated watts at the bottom of this page to help you find the inverter that is right for you.

What type of batteries do you recommend?
Most of our customers prefer to use deep cycle marine batteries with their inverters. A few advantages are: Delivers higher peak amps faster than conventional batteries Provides up to twice the life of conventional batteries More consistent voltage across the discharge curve Superior cold and hot weather performance vs. conventional batteries

Please visit Lifeline Deep cycle and marine batteries, our customers have had great success!

Do the inverters from acbooster.com come with cables?
Yes, unlike many power inverter manufacturers, the AIMS power inverters all come with the appropriate cables necessary to run your device. Inverters of 400 watts and below can be plugged directly into a vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. Power inverters rated higher and including 400 watts all come with heavy duty cables that allow you to connect directly to a battery source.

What is the difference between a modified sine and pure sine wave inverter?
Modified sine wave power inverters are more portable than pure sine wave power inverters, lighter, and lower in cost. If your device will handle voltage fluctuations, a modified sine wave inverter should be considered. Most devices that people typically wish to power will work fine with a modified sine wave inverter, as a precaution, please contact the manufacturer of your device to determine if it is compatible.

Pure sine wave power inverters motor's run cooler, last longer and provide very clean power like you would receive from a power company. Devices such as laser printers, digital clocks, and most medical equipment require a pure sine wave inverter to run correctly. As noted above, as a precaution, please contact the manufacturer of your device to determine if pure sine wave power is required.

Can the inverter power 115 volt winches?
Yes, many of our customers use their inverter for that very reason. We do recommend a pure sine wave inverter though, but as always, please check your manual or contact the manufacture of your device.  Please feel free to contact a customer service representative by calling 360-289-4166 or email us!
